OMG stop the presses! We are all going to jail! Seriously if you all have not heard about this, ...you need to read this NOW!The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) requires all children's products to get tested for lead and certified before they can be sold and it's leaving thrift store and consignment shop owners panicking including me.
Even though I do not have a large children's clothing section, I have to say that it will affect me because it does not make sense to me that I would have to pay for testing of an item that is in my store at or around two hundred bucks and I the item is only $45. Uh no just don't see it.
Hopefully the time you see this post they will kind enough to leave consignment and resale shops and charities off of this ridiculous list.
I can see it now, hiding in shadows and under bridges to purchase used children's items. Now does that make sense?
