I love my purse! Bottom line and I know so many of you can attest to that. It's a lifeline for so many of us.
I recently was out at the bank when I flipped open a huge purse I have to deposit funds into my business account when the clerk remarked at how wonderful the purse was.
Before long we were chatting about the many layers to it and how many pockets, slots and functions that this bag held for me.
Not only was it stylish but it offered me the functionality necessary through out my busy day with KJ, Aaliyah and my personal stash.
She giggled and said " My husband hates when I dig through mine to answer my cell phone"
I replied with a grin "Oh I can relate mine hates for me to have anything more than my credit and a cell phone it."
We both understood and knew exactly what we were talking about without saying any more.
Women are multitasters, thus we need a bag that reflects all that we can do in a single day. From holding diapers and bottles, binkies, bills, insurance cards, beauty supplies to stay fabulous on the go while you are conquering you part of the world! Hey some even come equipped to hold a laptop with style along with everything else! How about that?
What men do not understand like the one in my life is that he goes to work and expects me to do the bill paying, the cooking, the cleaning, the chauffering of children, run my business, run errands all over town all while making it look effort less in pumps and hair done just right. Is he for real? Yes. (kids in tow mind you) Men have no clue the responsibility that comes with being mom today and that purse even though it may LOOK like its in disarray is really not....we know where everything is in there and what it is for even down to the last receipt or mint at the bottom sitting under a pack of baby wipes next to the tampon. (Don't act like I'm the only one with a bag like that)
Somehow we get it done and quite well!

Anywho...I feel the same way. I almost see a woman's bag as her badge of merit being the tool that it is. Even if it is a mess, we still have it together with all that we do.

We know what is in that purse no matter how junky it may look like to other people but it's like a walking office for so many of us.
